Business Operations Intern

The Business Operations Intern will work with the Management Team in matters related to the sports and business operations of the HBL. The Business Operations Intern will conduct research, gather data, create spreadsheets and reports, complete tasks, participate on calls and in meetings as requested by the Management Team. The Intern will receive hands-on experience in all aspects of the HBL’s operations.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks
  • Knowledge about G-Suite Applications and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work remotely without supervision

specific duties

  • Provide inventory control and distribution management for equipment, supplies, and apparel
  • Provide research and analytical support to the Management Team
  • Assist with daily activities related to operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Communications Intern

The Communications Intern will work with the Management Team in matters related to public relations, social media and marketing. The Communications Intern will operate within the team as a writer and content producer for the HBL.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program with a major in English or Communications (or similar)
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks
  • Knowledge about G-Suite Applications and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work remotely without supervision
  • Photoshop experience is a plus

specific duties

  • Writing email newsletter stories, promotional emails, and descriptions for website
  • Creating and writing social media posts for the HBL Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube accounts
  • Other duties as assigned

Legal Intern

The Legal Intern will be exposed to a variety of areas, with a primary focus on corporate, sports and administrative law and process. The Legal Intern will assist the Management Team with researching specific questions of law and policy, preparing legal memoranda, and assisting with event planning. 2Ls and 3Ls can apply.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Enrolled in an accredited law program (excluding 1Ls)
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks
  • Knowledge about G-Suite Applications and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work remotely without supervision

specific duties

  • Researching legal and procedural issues related to the HBL’s operations
  • Prepare legal memoranda at the direction of the Management Team
  • Other duties as assigned
